This isn't a proper update (been real busy) but I just wanted a quick and easy way to get the word out that the Tux4Kids dev server (at tux4kids.carrolltoncityschools.net is currently down.

We are aware of the problem, and appropriate people have been contacted. We hope this will be resolved shortly.

2002 Jun 30 (Sun), 21:35 Typing of the Blah

Okay, it has been quite a while since my last real update (nearly a month), not including my notice that the t4k dev server was down and then back up. A lot has happenned.

My father took a turn for the worse. They had to ultimately put a pacemaker in him (they call it the "Cadillac" and it cost $100,000). My parents are on a very fixed income, and there ain't a chance in hell of them being able to pay for this thing in this life. Needless to say, I and my wife are going to be going up next week to visit my parents.... so I've been dealing with that. This and all my other stress that I've been awash in for the last two years has kind of added up and I've been unable to concentrate on my projects. Hopefully, this trip will be a cleansing one and I can return home fresh and ready to attack everything once again.

So for anyone with any Tux4Kids items, give me until July 8th before contacting me about it (or, before I ultimately respond ;-) I will be announcing soon (after I return) our donated dev server (who it was from, and what it will be for). Also, our good friends at OSEF.org will be at LinuxWorld this year... and they will be showing some of our wares. So I have much preparing to do. Here's hoping that I'll be able to recover by the time I return and that this visit to my parents wont be detrimental (sp?) seeing them both in such dire straits.
